Sri Chinmoy Races return to Sydney

Sri Chinmoy Races return to Sydney with a Spring Series of 3 events in popular locations in 2007...

After a break of 4 years, Sri Chinmoy Races will stage a Spring Series 2007 with 3 events in popular running locations around Sydney. Each race will incorporate 3 distance options: short (3 km - 5 km); middle (7 km - 13 km); and longer (14 km - 30 km).

In the Sri Chinmoy tradition, the races will be staged with your needs and enjoyment paramount. All races are on certified accurate, well-marked courses with regular drink stations, prizes for age categories, pancake breakfast for all and the publication of full category results on the event website the same day and event photo album within 2 days.

Most courses are on traffic-free cycle paths, though the Centennial Park race is over a scenic cross-country course on dirt tracks and grass within the park perimeter.

Event details are:

* Race 1, Sunday 9 September
Centennial Park 14 km, 7 km and 4 km (cross country course)

* Race 2, Sunday 14 October
Iron Cove 16 km, 8 km and 4 km

* Race 3, Sunday 4 November
Mirambeena 16 km, 8 km and 2 miles (3.2 km)

If you are planning to run with us in these events, we encourage you to enter online, or by mail or fax before the Friday prior to the event, to help us be better prepared and able to focus on serving you on race day. Entries will of course still be accepted on the morning, but will attract an additional $10 fee.

All races commence at 8 am, with registration and on-the-day entries open from 7 am. For more details call us on (0404) 071-327 or write to us sydney@srichinmoyraces.org.

We look forward to your company!
