Sri Chinmoy Como Landing Race Report
South Yarra, 24 June 2007
Congratulations to everyone who participated in the Sri Chinmoy Como Landing Run last Sunday under the cool, clear and icy conditions. The new improved half marathon course along the banks of the Yarra River was very well received and will now become a regular feature on our running calendar. Congratulation to David Green 1.16.25 and Alice Kemp 1.34.52 who in crossing the line first are now the inaugural course record holders.
We received a message from Carmel who slipped on on a small patch of ice at the 4km mark. A kind runner very selflessly stopped to help here to her to her feet before continuing on. Carmel did not catch the runner's name, but on behalf Carmel and the entire Sri Chinmoy Races Team would like to thank you for your kindness.
A full list of results and photographs from the day are now available. If you would like to provide us with feedback from the day you can email us at melbourne@srichinmoyraces.org.

In this mighty test of endurance and will power competitors have 51 days to complete almost 5000km by clocking thousands of laps of a 800m street circuit. To date Grahak has completed 400 miles in the first week and is expected to finish sometime in early August. So the next time you find it difficult to inspire yourself to go on the training run, just think of Grahak and the other competitors completing upto 100km every day for the next month.
