I just returned home from a few days of travel... only to find a WHOLE SLEW OF NEW ENGLISH CHANNEL HERO CHAMPIONS!!!

Congratulations to each of you!

I broke out of the fog and traveled to Southern California. The beautiful sunny weather and a stunning ocean swim in Santa Barbara that I got in, really brought back the memories of all the great Channel training from a few years ago. But alas, here I am, back in the fog and gray of San Francisco. This however, is the place where "real" Channel Swim Training happens every day of the year.

A note came the other day from South End Rowing Club president, Bill Wygant, that their Alcatraz Invitational this Fall is nearly sold out. Lynne Cox will be the master of ceremonies. And we hope to have all the swimmers over to our Ananda Fuara Restaurant for food and gab that weekend too! Would love to see any of you near by there! Saturday, October 2nd. Come for fun, even of you don't swim. September/October is by far the most beautiful time of the year in San Francisco.

Ali and friends, thank you for the updates on everyone! I don't think I will ever get over HOW SENSATIONAL it is too see the progress reports of the crossing swimmers!

Does someone know where these girls doing the 3-way are from?

Hope the weather holds out for all of you coming up to swim now! We'll be watching from the around the world for updates!
Good Luck!
