The Autumn Grand Prix has produced 38 Superheroes - runners who ran all 13 races.

There are 7 Superheroes from Mongolia, 7 from the USA, 5 from Australia, 4 from Canada, 3 from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and New Zealand, 2 from the UK and Germany and 1 from Russia and Finland.

Susan Marshall from New Zealand wins the Womens Grand Prix (photo above).

Sarankhuu Jargal from Mongolia wins the Mens Grand Prix.

They are both based in Canberra, Australia. It was, of course, Spring in Australia for this Autumn Grand Prix, so perhaps that is why there was an extra 'spring' in their step.

Suparna Pustogowa from Germany is the winner of the Women Vet 50 category.

Marek Bohman from Slovakia is the winner of the Mens Vet 50 category.

Tsetsegmaa Ishjamts from Monglia wins the Women Vet 60 category.

Prachar Stegemann from Australia wins the Men Vet 60 category.

Karnayati Morison from Canada wins the Women Vet 70 category.

Banzragch Dorj from Mongolia wins the Men Vet 70 category.

And a special CONGRATULATIONS to Shadri Bortolini from Italy for winning the Women Vet 80 category!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The penultimate race of the Summer Grand Prix saw 82 happy runners cross the finish line.

This week we had some very close results:

Ankurika from Austria was the first woman in 20:50 followed by Susan Marshall (New Zealand) one second behind her.

Grakak from Perth, Australia was the first male runner in 19:49, with Robi (Hungary) three seconds behind and then Pataka (Czech) another three seconds behind Robi!

In the Women Vet 50 category, Tavishi from Australia was the fastest runner, but Tsetsegdelger (Mongolia) was only one second behind her.

Suswara Payne from Bristol, England has reappeared to win the Vet 50 Men category, pipping Marek (Slovakia) to the post by one second.

In the Men Vet 60 category first place and second place were also seperated by a single second: Vandan-Ochir 21:54, Damdnjav 21:55 (both from Mongolia).

Even though we are all running in our seperate parts of the world, it is very competitive. Perhaps this is the effect of the current Olympic Games!

If you would like to run the Sri Chinmoy New York Rockland Lake Marathon virtually on August 23rd see details HERE.
