Day 6 Ten Day

Rimas Jakelaitis held on to a slim three-mile lead after six days, as Trishul Cherns ran 65 miles to contest the top spot. Vladimir Balatsky from the Ukraine ran a solid 386 miles to hold third place as the race was again blessed with fair skies and no rain. Nataliya Hlushchek was still leading the women’s side with 385 miles, but Sarah Barnett cruised to a 66 mile day, leading everyone around the fabled one-mile loop. Barnett remains 15 miles back of Hlushchek. Six women and seven men made it past 300 miles for six days, the standard for solid fitness in the multiday world.

Day 2 Six Day

Dipali increased her overall lead to 19 miles as she ran 74 miles on the second day of running, totalling 178 miles. Bob Oberkehr ran 62 to lead the men with 159 total miles. Bob is 11 miles ahead of his pace from last year. Kaneenika Janakova ran 65 miles to solidify second woman status and third overall. Glen Turner and Mark Dorion are “Duking’ it out” for second male runner with 148 and 147 miles respectively. Zuzana Tobolkova still surprises with 133 miles in third place for the ladies.
