Dipali Cunningham assumed the overall lead in the Six-Day with 182 miles, after a strong 75 mile effort on Day 2. Rimas was able to run 58 miles today, but was reluctant to run in the rain for a couple of hours as a storm pounded its way into the region. Alexander Ponomarev, 27, from the Ukraine ran 58 miles and worked his way into a second place tie with Bob Oberkehr of Northvale, NJ, at 148 miles. Martin Wagen from Switzerland is just a mile back of Alex and Bob. Kaneenika Janakova, from Bratislava, Slovakia, maintained second place for the women with 64 miles for the day, and 144 miles overall. Friederike Makowka ran 65 miles to stay close at 140. Good weather is forecast for the next several days.
