A superb turn out of 22 runners this week, thanks in part to
Dublin who inspired half a dozen friends to join them for a
two mile run!

In the womens race, Nurari equalled her best time of the season
to come first in 14.45 while Papion from Dublin came second on
her virtual race debut with 15.13. Bithika, who early in the
season was running times between 20 and 25 minutes, achieved her
best time of the series to claim third place in 17 minutes exactly. Sahana managed to race only two days after her 14 mile training
run, while Fran went one better and raced during her long run
having already covered 15 miles! Oxford appear in the results
for the first time in the shape of Piyasi who finished in 23 minutes.

In the mens race, Roger knew that he would only break through
that 11.30 barrier by taking some extreme measures so he drove
to London and entered the Self Transcendence 2 Mile Race in
Battersea Park; the result was an improvement of 17 seconds
which got him first place in the virtual race with 11.13. Dave
came second in 11.49, while Steve got yet another PB and broke
12 minutes for the first time ever to finish third in 11.52.
Gary from Dublin got his best time of the season, and deserves
a mention for improving by two and a half minutes. Ongkar has
the satisfaction of finishing ahead of the mighty Shane, both
of them courageously taking part in spite of very challenging
injury problems; lets hope both of them are back to full
fitness soon.
