This week we held race number 13, a most auspicious number, and
we had some extremely auspicious performances. Only three men took
to the roads for a timed two miler this week, but all three will
be happy with their times. Roger equalled his best time this season
but once again narrowly failed to hit his target for the year
of running sub-11.30. Steve ran his best time so far by 3 seconds
to come second just ahead of Suswara, who found time to race
despite his ceaseless efforts filling that humanitarian aid container.

In the womens race Shyamala got an all time PB of 12.16 to storm
home in first place, while Amelia ran her fastest time of the
series in the Battersea Park 2-miler to claim second. The
fence-climbing antics of Nurari again paid off with a third-place
time of 14.45 but the big news is in fourth place where Indrani
slashed 47 seconds off her previous best time. She didn't just
break through that 17 minute barrier, she completely vaporised it.

I apologise if anyone was trying to send me results on the mobile
this week - my phone got submerged in Ojas (honestly) and while
it now has perfectly balanced life energy, it doesn't work any
more. Fortunately Sumangali donated a replacement so I could
retrieve the race results just before the deadline.

The race prize cupboard this week is quite full (thanks to
donations of things oriental from Shinjukoh), so prizes go
to Shyamala and Indrani, and Steve for his PB.
