Our first two mile race had 9 competitors drawn from the Cardiff,
Dublin and Cambridge centres. Among the "magnificent seven" in 
the mens race, Roger clocked a season's best of 11.31 on the fast,
flat Cardiff course while Ambarish gave it all he'd got to pip Dave
from Cambridge by just one second, their times 12.39 and 12.40. 
Often in New York the first seven finishers get a banana so the 
other lucky fruit recipients in the men's race (feel free to buy
your own banana lads) were Steve with 12.45, Alex with 14.20, 
Ollie with 15.26 and Gary who finished in 16.04.

The women's race saw only two competitors, both in Dublin centre - 
Mangala and Paula claimed joint first in exactly 22 minutes. This
week's prize goes to the first lady, so as it's a tie both Paula and
Mangala will shortly be receiving their runner's feed bottles.
