Self Transcendence 1 mile race 28 may edinburgh scotland
The magic of the mile bought 60 runners to the Meadows for the Self Transcendence 1 mile race.
Dan Mulhare of Napier University and Corstorphine’s Dougie Selman led out the field with Mulhare proving the stronger in the finishing straight to finish 4 secs ahead of Selman.
Isolbel Knox was a comfortable winner of the women’s race. Veteran honours were taken by John Graham 1st MV50 and Alan McLeod 1st MV60.
Special mention to Debbie Macdonald, who will probably be embarrassed to get a special mention) but it was good to see her just over 3 weeks after “her minor operation!” jogging around with young Niamh Jarvis. Debbie’s come back has started.
Magic moment – check out the gallery pics of the prize giving as Ivor Normand refuels after his double marathon exploits in the Hebrides at the weekend.
