Start and Finish

Tai Tapu Domain, old Tai Tapu Road.

Course

The course is a beautiful scenic tour taking in the Otahuna valley. It is a loop course consisting of six laps for the marathon and three laps for the half. The 10km event will use an out and back course. The course starts and finishes at the Tai Tapu Domain where toilets and parking can be found.

The course leaves the domain out on to Rhodes Road before taking the first right into Cossars Road. It follows Cossars around until it joins Otahuna road, follow this road to the end of the valley where it turns into Rhodes Road which leads back to the start finish area at the domain.

There will be full drink and food stations at both the start/finish area and also at the end of the valley approx half way round the course. Toilets will be available at both the start/finish area and also at the half way point of the course.

All finishers in the full will receive finishers medals with trophies for the top finishers in the full and medals for those in the half. All finishers will also receive certificates and a delicious post race meal.

Driving Directions

On Sunday head out of town on Lincoln Road. Follow this road as it heads towards the east and passes through Halswell. Continue on this road through a set of lights and past Halswell school. Soon you will leave the houses behind and be in the countryside. Turn left down Old Tai Tapu Road and you can follow this road all the way to the Tai Tapu Domain where the race starts.

Please allow 30 minutes to get there from Christchurch (in case of any navigational problems).

All three distances start at 9.00am, with race numbers available from 8.00am.

Cost of Entry

• Late Entry Fee: Please add $5 to enter on the day
• Minimum age criteria: 18 years old for the marathon and 16 years old half marathon on race day.
