Three heroes
Three Vikings run against cold and wind on October 19
| Icelandic version Biting cold and nipping wind deterred all but the toughest three from participating in the Self-Transcendence Tjarnarhlaup 2 mile race, last Tuesday, Oct 19. These three, Andrés Ramón, Suren Suballabhason and Davíð Sigurgeirsson, have ensured themselves a place in the annals of history for their unflinching determination in completing the course against all odds. First among equals was Andrés, who ran at a time of 12:30. This is his second-worst time in the Tjarnarhlaup races, which is quite understandable in light of the circumstances.
