- Official event in the Ontario Ultra Series (OUS)
- Registration: $150 Cdn to 31 August, $170 Cdn thereafter to 10 September
- Pre-race supper on 12 September 2008 at the Terry Fox Track Facility
- Race is on a 400 metre world-class textured-surface track
- Counters to count each runner's laps
- Direction reversals every 4 hours
- Meals, snacks and hot and cold drinks, including electrolytes, are provided throughout the race
- Great running weather - warm days and cool nights
- Camping available trackside
