The Sri Chinmoy Googong Challenge

The Sri Chinmoy Googong Challenge returns for its 4th edition on Sunday 28 September 2008, a few weeks earlier in the season. The short course is no cake-walk, while the long course can be best described as strenuous - the perfect tune-up for the Sri Chinmoy Triple-Triathlon. Long and short races start from the Googong Foreshores Car Park (northern end) at 10 am.

Both races are open to solo athletes and teams of 2 or 3 members. Registration is from 8.30 am to 9.30 am at the Googong Foreshores (northern) Car park.

Please read all the event information, and study the course maps and descriptions for the short course race and for the long course race. View the course records for both long and short course races for solo athletes and teams.

NOTE: Because the races finish at the London Bridge Woolshed at the southern end of the reserve, solo athletes are strongly advised to bring a helper / driver. The helper may assist the athlete bringing the paddle craft into and out from the water, and transport the paddle craft and car to meet the athlete at the finish. One helper may assist more than one athlete.

Read the race report for the 2007 race. View the full results by category and photo gallery.
