Sri Chinmoy Princes Park Run 30K

The Event

Sunday 20 July 2008 at 8AM

Races on offer include

  • 30km Run
  • 21.1km Run
  • 10km Run
  • 5km Run



The Course

All races start from the Northern Pavilion, Princes Park, Royal Parade, Parkville (Melways Ref 43G12) at 8AM

The event is conducted on our favourite flat, tree lined, 5km circuit within Princes and Royal Park.

The 5km, 10km and 30km races complete 1, 2 or 6 laps of the course respectively.

The 21.1km runners will complete a short 1.1km loop before continuing to complete 4 x 5km course laps.

There will be separate start times with the 21.1km race starting at 8AM and the 30km, 10km & 5km runs begining shortly after at 8.05AM.

Competitors are required to complete the course in 4 hours.

A full course briefing will be conducted at 7.55AM on race day.

How to Enter

You can enter online or on the day between 7AM and 7.45AM.

Online

30 & 21.1km Runs - $20

10 & 5km Runs/Walks - $15

On the Day

30 & 21.1km Runs - $25 ($20 conc)
10 & 5km Runs/Walks - $20 ($15 conc).

  • Concession rates are for U16 and 60+ entrants only

and are not available online.

  • Please note that credit card and cheque payments can not be taken on race day.
  • All entry fees are inclusive of GST
  • Registration packs will be mailed out to all pre registered competitors who enter by Friday 11 July. Later pre-entrants can pick up their race number from the registration tent on race morning from 7AM.
  • Confirm your pre-entry by viewing the competitor list.






Services

  • Accurate AA measured traffic free course with markers every km
  • Drink stations every 2.5 km equipped with electrolyte and water
  • Our famous post race pancake breakfast
  • First aid services are provided by St Johns Ambulance.
  • Toilets are available at Princes Park adjacent to the start/finish area and at three points along the course.
  • Extreme Weather & Safety Policy

Car Parking

Carparking is available along Royal Parade, Melways Ref 43G12, and in the side streets along the eastern side of Princes Park.

Award Categories

  • Medallions for the top 3 male & female competitors in the following age categories for each event.
    • Age U18 years (First, Second & Third)
    • Age 18-39 years (First, Second & Third)
    • Age 40-49 years (First, Second & Third)
    • Age 50-59 years (First, Second & Third)
    • Age 60-69 years (First, Second & Third)
    • Age 70-79 years (First, Second & Third)
    • Age 80+ years (First, Second & Third)
    • Please note Sri Chinmoy Races no longer offers awards for walk categories.
