Sri Chinmoy Princes Park 10K Race Report 2008
Sunday 3 February 2008, Princes Park, Parkville.
Congratulations to all those who took part in our first race for 2008, the Sri Chinmoy Princes Park 10K on Sunday February 3rd, results and photos are now available online.
A large crowd of 300+ fronted the start line with perfect still conditions for some record fast times. Congratulations to Michael Kavanagh who clocked a sizzling time of 31.05 for the 10km event and breaking the existing course record by 40 seconds and also to Suzanne Wilson who took line honours in the womens 5km event with course record time of 18.52.
A special welcome back to Paul Wilson who having raced at Sri Chinmoy Races as a youngster returned to take out the 5km event in a very respectable 15.59.
Our next events are the Sri Chinmoy Barwon River Run in Geelong on Sunday March 2 offering 18km, 12km and 6 km distance and the Sri Chinmoy Yarra Boulevard Run on Easter Monday March 24 with distances 15km, 10km and 5km.
